Passover VS Communion – The World Mission Society Church Of God (WMSCOG))

The World Mission Society Church Of God(WMSCOG) is nondenominational and the church members  believe what the bible testifies and this is the reason why the members of WMSCOG believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong and  Heavenly Mother.

In order to oppose the Passover of the New Covenant that the Church of God keeps, a certain religious group insists as follows:

“The Passover that must be kept forever did not change from the Passover with the sacrifice of animals to the Passover with the bread and wine, but was replaced by the ceremony of the Holy Communion which is kept at any time in the New Testament. Therefore, it is kept through the ceremony itself, not through the date (1Cor: 11:26)

Other churches also insist that partaking in the Holy Communion is the same as partaking in the Passover. They emphasize that it is the ceremony that is important not the date of the Passover, in the New Testament.

If appointed times had not been important,there would not have been so much emphasis on appointed times in the Old Testament. Anyone who studies the ceremonial laws and dates from the Old Testament should understand that they function as a copy and shadow for the ceremonial laws ans dates in the New Testament times(reality).

If we could keep the Passover through the Holy Communion at any time, the Israelites should have kept the Passover on any day by slaughtering lambs and putting the blood on the sides and tops of the door frames and eating the meat roasted over the fire in the Old testament times.

How ever, God commanded us not to celebrated the Passover on any day, but to keep it at the appointed time(the 14th day of the 1st month) 

The scene of Jesus’ establishing the Passover of the New Covenant is as follows:

Mt 26:18-28 [ He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’ ” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. When evening came,… While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it,all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.]

And Apostle Paul also stated that the Holy Supper was held on the night Jesus was betrayed.

1 Cor. 11:23-26 [For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the New Covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.]

The night when Jesus was betrayed was the night of the Passover, the 14th day of the 1st month by the sacred calendar. Nevertheless, the objectors insist that if they eat bread and drink wine on any day, they are commemorating the Passover, quoting the words, “Whenever you eat and drink…”

Although verse 23 clearly states that the commemoration day is the night Jesus was betrayed, they continue to argue that whenever they eat bread and drink wine, it represents Jesus’ flesh and blood.

Nobody can promise Jesus’flesh and blood ; only Jesus can promise His own flesh and blood…which He did ONLY on the night of Passover, which is the 14th day of the 1st month at twilight by the sacred calendar (the night he was betrayed).

When Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of me,” He was referring to the Passover.

When somebody is celebrating or commemorating some event, it is done on the anniversary date of when the event occurred e.g, birth Day, Independence Day, wedding, holidays, deaths, etc.

Just because somebody wants to celebrate independence  Day other than July 4th, it does not make it true, or if you celebrate someone’s birthday every week, they do not gain 52 years in 1 year. When they insist they can celebrate the Passover any time, it is like the objectors proclaiming you can celebrate Jesus’ resurrection more than once a year.
